What is The Sunday Drive?
Michael Allison, CFA, CFP® (“Mike”) started The Sunday Drive in recognition of the many technological and societal developments which are emerging and growing in prominence - demographic shifts, longevity research, artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, blockchain, nanotechnology, 3D printing, and many others.
The Sunday Drive is intended to be a discussion and exploration of these topics, as well as other subjects that may be of interest. We also talk about investing, in particular investing for income in retirement.
Who is Mike anyway?
Mike Allison has been in the investment management business for over 33 years and recently retired from Eaton Vance (now part of Morgan Stanley) after nearly 22 years. In recent years, he has developed a keen interest in the ascendance of human capital in the coming decades and the evolution of the role of financial capital in our society and the global economy.
In 2022, Mike founded New Lantern Advisors to work more directly with financial advisors and their clients to provide cost-effective, tax-efficient solutions as alternatives to annuities for retirement income.
